  • Lessons for adults

    $80 for 60 min lessons

    (ages 16 &up)

In adult lessons, I work with each student to discover and maintain a resonate, healthy, and consistent tone in the musical style and for the repertoire most engaging for the student. We will focus on diction, artistry and the character of each piece. Lessons also include breath work and body awareness as informed by my training and experience as both a voice and yoga teacher.

    Lessons for kids

    $50 for 30 min lessons

    (ages 10-15)

When teaching young voices, I strive to lay the groundwork for a lifetime of healthy singing. In each lesson we will vocalize and incorporate ear training and basic music theory in the process. I will introduce age-appropriate repertoire that is both interesting and fun for the student! As a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing), students have access to local competitions and adjudication.

  • Studio Information

“My greatest joy, as a teacher, is to help each student gain more confidence, control, and expressive ability through their unique voice.” – Julia Tobiska, M.M.

    West Seattle

My studio is located in West Seattle, just up the hill from Lincoln Park,

near bus lines and an easy commute from downtown

    Studio environment

Warm and bright, I offer a unique concentrated learning environment. Students are encouraged to think deeply about the music they produce and learn to sing in the most healthy way possible. In addition to a healthy technique, I also offer training in theory, sight-reading & ear-training.

    Lesson structure

I am happy to talk with you over the phone prior to a first lesson. A positive relationship between student and teacher is essential. First lesson(s) help each of us to determine if we are a good fit. If so, monthly tuition pays for your standing appointment thereafter.
